It started as a vision. American Airlines founder, C.R. Smith, wanted to honor and recognize the airline's best customers by providing them with an exclusive place to relax or work before or after their flight. The Admirals Club lounges were therefore created with our first lounge opening at New York LaGuardia airport in 1939, forever changing travel at airports. Seven decades later, the Admirals Club has become synonymous with productivity, comfort and convenience at major airports throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Today, American Airlines has a network of 37 worldwide Admirals Club locations. Membership provides the key to private surroundings where members can relax or work before, after or between flights, and enjoy personalized, professional service from club staff.
