80 Years of History
On April 15, 1926, Charles Lindbergh, Robertson Aircraft Corporation's chief pilot flew a bag of mail in a DH-4 biplane from Chicago to St. Louis. This flight is regarded as the first regularly scheduled flight of what was to become American Airlines. A big fleet is required to fly our passengers to over 250 destinations throughout the Americas. With almost 80 years experience behind us, we deliver around 94 million customers to their destinations each year.
