Self Service Check-In


Self Service Check-In machines are an alternative easy time-saving option to start your trip with American Airlines, they're located in the check-in at Rome Fiumicino (Terminal 5) airport and will be arriving soon to Milan Malpensa (Terminal 1, Area 9-10) airport.

The process is available in English, French and Spanish.

Here's how it works:

 1. Swipe your passport or a credit card through the machine and select
     your itinerary.


 2. Follow the instructions on screen, if you require assistance please see      one of our agents to assist you.

3.
Carry-on bags only: Once your boarding pass is printed, please proceed to security.
Bags to check-in: Once your boarding pass is printed, please proceed to the Bag Drop desk  and then to security.

 4. Enjoy your trip!

You'll also be able to use our Self Service Check-In machines to:

  • Select or change your seats.
  • Add your AAdvantage® number to your booking.
  • Print or reprint your boarding pass.

Although most of our passengers are elegible for Self Service Check-In, you will need to see
a check-in agent:

  • If you're travelling with Infants (0 - 2 years) not occupying a seat.
  • If you have requested your ticket to be issued as a paper ticket.
